Sol Filippi is a jewelry designer from Venezuela who grew up in a family of artists and creatives, inheriting from her mother a passion for art. She first became interested in accessories while studying fashion design, discovering their power as complements to a woman’s attire. Every one of her pieces is an expression of herself, with a personal touch and style that makes each accessory unique. In 2007, after moving to the United States, Sol took up metalsmithing. This led her to the school of the Boca Raton Museum, where she specialized in metals, semi-precious stones, and different techniques of metal arts. It was there that she realized her true calling. Read more A year later she started her own metalsmithing workshop and embarked on her journey as a jewelry designer. All of Sol's pieces are designed and made by hand, and created using high-quality materials including gold, silver, precious stones, and semi-precious stones. Throughout her career, Sol has participated in a multitude of events, such as fashion shows, bazaars, music videos, private ventures, and more. Among the most prominent are the Miami Funk-Fashion - Fashion Week, Miami Fashion Week, American Heart Association, Make a Wish, and American Developing Smile. In 2013 she received the award for Excellence in Accessories during the Miami Fashion Week. In 2016 Sol became a teacher at the Boca Raton Museum, sharing her methods, techniques, and passion for creating jewelry with her students. In 2019 Sol was recognized with the Boca Raton Mayor's choice award at the 33RD Annual Museum Art Festival in Mizner Park Over the past 13 years, Sol Filippi has launched 7 collections of her own designs and handmade pieces, making her one of South Florida’s emergent fashion designers.
