Sharon Marsten began her life as an artist while working in NYC as a Graphic Designer. After moving to South Florida, she worked at American Heritage School in the Fine Arts department K-12. While there she became the Director of the Fine Arts Camp for several years. Her love of ceramics, mixed media, art history, and literature drives the inspiration for all the art that she teaches and creates. She currently teaches art at Franklin Academy Pembroke Pines. Teaching art to children continues to delight her every day.

Drawing is a skill that anyone can learn for a lifetime. Students will be using graphite pencils to capture light and shadows in their compositions. Projects include classic drawings of nature, still-life with fruits, and mixed media. Step-by-step instructions will be provided for each drawing type.

All Kinds of Painting Techniques (Ages 8-10)
Begins: July 7, 9:00 am
1 week, Mon, Tue, Wed, Thu & Fri 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM
Location & Summary
Art School: Great Room
Students will have fun composing a montage of different techniques into one or more fabulous paintings. Students will paint on surfaces as varied as canvas and packing materials and will learn different styles from pointillism to impressionism that other artists have used. Anything goes!
