Frankie Curran is a figurative realist painter born and raised on Staten Island, New York. He has won many art awards throughout his career, most notably the High School Congressional Art Competition, where his artwork represented New York State in the Hall of Congress. He also attended The Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale where he received a tuition scholarship and was the recipient of many student art exhibition awards. Curran's work focuses on provocative figurative imagery manifested through painting and drawing. Combining figurative subject matter with bizarre narratives to create a portal between reality and fantasy, his work is visceral and meant to invoke emotions within the viewer. Fine, intricate details are consistent throughout his work and command attention within his achromatic drawings and vibrant paintings.
