Babette is an art teacher, freelance artist and member of the American Portrait Society. Palm Beach County had been lucky enough to have Babette teaching art here since 1988. In addition to teaching at various schools in Boca Raton, Babette is a former Fine Arts Director at the Levi’s JCC. She has been trained as well in therapeutic art, expressive art and Fine Arts. Babette enriched and brings out the talents of her many students which range from private and group sessions for adults and children. Babette has helped hundreds of students prepare for auditions/portfolio reviews for college and art school admission.

During this fun filled week of creativity, we will make three dimensional things. We will use clay to make hats, fabric to make bowls and wood to make jewelry. Plan on mixing it up with materials and themes! We will also make plates and wind chimes as whole group lessons. If you can imagine it, we can brainstorm and create it. We will have a design studio style meeting and then give students free choice to design and create. There will be hands on and demonstrations in forming processes, so students will have guidance in using each material. Artists who inspire us are Oppenheim, Chihuly, Dr.Seuss, Paolo Soleri
