Anna Bonito is a ceramic artist based in Boca Raton, currently pursuing her Fine Arts degree in Ceramics at Florida Atlantic University. Anna was Vice President of The Ceramic Guild of FAU from 2023 – 2024 and is a current member of the National Council on Education for the Ceramic Arts.
Anna has always been drawn to the natural beauty of her surroundings, which heavily influences her work. Her ceramics reflect her deep connection to the earth, with organic forms & textures married with natural tones. Through her many years of ceramic practice followed by years of study, she has developed a versatile skill set ranging from wheel thrown pottery to intricate hand-built sculptural forms.
In addition to her own artistic pursuits, Anna has a strong passion for teaching. For Anna, teaching ceramics is about fostering a sense of self-expression and an understanding of the creative process. She believes mindfulness is a natural and powerful part of the ceramic & creative process and plans to bring mindfulness techniques into her classroom. Ultimately, her goal is to create a space where creative minds can be nurtured, and art can flourish.
